V27-121 : VEHICLE CROSSINGS - 1999/2000 BUDGET
The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services considered the 1999/2000 programme to provide vehicle crossings which had been allocated a £100k budget. There were conflicting concepts in deciding a criteria for selecting roads to be given priority for vehicle crossings. Either the establishment of a waiting list, maximising the number of crossings by following the footway renewal programme, or more complex in targeting the most congested roads.
RESOLVED
That the Tenant Panels and Residents' Association be consulted on their views as to which roads are most badly congested, the Tenant Panel then be asked to provide a priority list, which will be brought back to this Committee for final ratification.
