V27-1126 : LOCAL AUTHORITY STANDING COMMITTEE ON OIL FABRICATION
The report of the Chief Executive provided an update on the activity of the Local Authority Standing Committee on Oil Fabrication (LASCOF), and highlighted widespread concern about the decline in the prospects for the industry.
LASCOF had approached the Government asking them to possibly intervene to help the survival of the industry.
RECOMMENDED
That the Council expresses its support of Local Authority Standing Committee on Oil Fabrication's concerns about the future for the Oil and Gas Fabrication Industry in the UK in its approaches to the Government.
