V27-1122 : DRAFT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY 2000/2001
The report of the Chief Executive provided a consultation draft of the Economic Development Strategy for 2000/01 for members' comments and approval. The Council was required under the provisions of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 to update its Strategy annually and also consult on it with the business community, and feedback would be considered at the next Sub-Committee meeting.
RECOMMENDED
1. That the draft Economic Development Strategy for 2000/01 be released for consultation with the business community and other relevant organisations.
2. That feedback from the exercise be considered by the Sub-Committee at its next meeting.
