Application for conversion of coach house to granny annexe/holiday accommodation.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control reminded members that at the last meeting the Committee granted permission to the above applicant for holiday accommodation only. The applicant had since explained that he wished the building to be available for his elderly mother if she needed care or support at short notice, as well as holiday accommodation.

The Director recommended approval, but as the Committee had previously been keen to safeguard against a future possibility of the coach house becoming separated from the main house, permission should be subject to the prior conclusion of a Section 106 Agreement.

RESOLVED

That the Director of Planning and Building Control be given delegated authority to grant planning permission to application W15142/5, subject to the prior conclusion of a Section 106 Agreement limiting use of the coach house to either holiday accommodation or a residential annexe.
