Application for refurbishment of existing sheltered accommodation including conversion of bedsits into self-contained flats.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined a District Council application for a major refurbishment of the above sheltered housing development. The proposal would also involve extension of the existing communal lounge and a substantial landscaping scheme to include planting and provision of new pathways. Overall the proposed works represented major improvements to the premises and would contribute towards the amenity value of the adjoining area. The Director recommended approval.

RESOLVED

That for the purposes of paragraph 4(5) of the Town and Country Planning General Regulations 1976 deemed planning permission be granted to application W14554/3.
