Application for the conversion of a coach house to form a granny annexe/holiday accommodation.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined plans for a conversion of a brick and pantile outbuilding to provide either holiday accommodation or a `granny annexe'. The main consideration was policy ENV23 of the adopted Local Plan relating to whether the development would detract from the character or setting of a Listed Building.

The Director reported negotiations on design, which the applicant had accepted, that now ensured the application met the criteria of ENV23, and his revised recommendation was now for approval, subject to holiday use only, as there was no immediate need for the `granny annexe' purpose. The Parish Council had recommended approval and Suffolk Wildlife Trust had asked for a survey for bats and if found, measures put in place to protect them.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W15142/5 for holiday accommodation only.
