Outline Application to construct a dwelling.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control advised that the application site of 800 square metres, with a frontage of 38 metres conformed with the infill development policy V3 of the adopted Local Plan and that a moderately sized dwelling would be appropriate.

A previous application for a farmworkers dwelling on the site had been refused as the business was too far away to bear relevance. This application, if sensitively handled to respect the character of the Special Landscape Area, would be acceptable, and the Director therefore recommended approval as infill development. The Parish Council recommended refusal, and had concerns about access. The Highway Authority felt access should be from the existing Dairy Farm entrance, which was as shown on the plans.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W17163/1.
