V27-1029 : THE FLYING DUTCHMAN PUBLIC HOUSE, BECCLES ROAD, OULTON BROAD
APPLICATION FOR PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE
The report of the Chief Executive outlined an application for a Public Entertainment Licence at the above premises, the hours sought being Monday-Saturday 7.00pm to 11.00pm and Sundays 7.00pm until 10.30pm.
No objections had been received from the Police or Director of Housing and Environmental Services. However, a letter of complaint had been received from a neighbour about a specific entertainment which was held in the car park of these premises. The car park was not part of the application for this Public Entertainment Licence. The Licensee had recently received a written caution for holding musical entertainment in the premises without a Licence.
Members were happy to grant the Licence for a trial period of six months. RESOLVED
That, upon the premises achieving the required public safety standard to the satisfaction of the Suffolk Fire Service, a Public Entertainment Licence be issued to the Flying Dutchman Public House for a trial period of six months, to enable monitoring of the premises.
