V27-1014 : TPAS ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services detailed a request from the Waveney Tenant Panel for sponsorship to allow tenant representatives to attend the above Conference, where they would also have a stand to publicise the Council's efforts in tenant participation.
The Conference was from 4 to 6 August 2000 at Birmingham, and the delegate fee for three tenants to attend and resource the stand was £1,000. As Go-East recommend other Councils in the Eastern Region struggling with tenant participation to speak with Waveney, this was seen as an opportunity to share tenant participation good practice at a national forum.
RESOLVED
That the Waveney Tenant Panel be sponsored for three tenant representatives to attend the TPAS Annual Conference in August 2000, at a maximum cost of £1,000 to be met from existing budgets.
