V27-1000 : REVENUE GRANT 1999/2000 - SPORTS GRANT TO INDIVIDUAL
The report of the Director of Community Services outlined an application from Richard Sargeant for a grant of £300 to support the cost of his competing in the World Triathlon Championships in Perth, Australia in April 2000.
The Council had given similar grants to individual elite sports persons in the past where the application met the stated criteria that the applicant should be competing at international level. It was recommended that the application be supported.
RESOLVED
That a Leisure Revenue Grant of £300 be offered to Richard Sergeant in support of his attendance at the World Triathlon Championship in Perth, Australia.
The meeting was concluded at 8.55pm.
