V26-990 : MEETING WITH AREA ENVIRONMENT GROUPS

AND LGA ENVIRONMENT AGENCY TASK GROUP

The report of the Chief Executive sought a member representative to attend a meeting between the Local Government Association's (LGA) Environment Task Group and the Area Environment Groups (AEG) in London on 7 December 1998.

The purpose of the meeting was to establish dialogue between the LGA's Group and local authority representatives on AEG's in order to aid policy co-ordination and consistency of approach.

RESOLVED

That Councillor R Carter attends the meeting between the LGA's Environment Task Group and the Area Environment Groups in London on 7 December 1998, and attendance be authorised as an approved duty.
