V26-98 : HIGH STREET AND TRIANGLE MARKET REGENERATION EVENTS PROGRAMME
The report of the Director of Community Services provided a provisional events programme for the High Street and Triangle Market area during 1998/99, in accordance with the High Street Regeneration Strategy.
The aims and objectives of the provisional programme could not be fully realised without additional staff resource, and it was proposed that a part-time Market Liaison post be established for a period of one year, to be funded from the 5b budget. RESOLVED
1. That the provisional High Street and Triangle Market Events Programme be approved. 2. That the Personnel Resources Sub-Committee be recommended to approve the establishment of a part-time Market Liaison post for a period of one year and graded scale 1/2, to be funded from the 5B budget.
3. That the Market Liaison post be reviewed during this period to assess the need for continuation.
