V26-956 : BEACH CHALETS AND SITES, LOWESTOFT - FEES AND CHARGES

The report of the Director of Community Services and Director of Central Services reviewed the fees and charges for the 1999 season for beach chalets and sites at Lowestoft.

It was noted that seasonal beach chalets were greatly over-subscribed, while weekly beach chalet hire operated at around 50% capacity outside of July and August. Members requested that a report be presented to the next Committee setting out the percentage of chalets which were seasonal, and investigating the possibility of changing some weekly chalets to seasonal lettings.

RESOLVED

That an increase in charges of 3% be made for beach chalets and sites in Lowestoft for the 1999 season, and that a report be brought to the next meeting of the Committee concerning the possibility of changing some weekly chalets to seasonal lettings.
