V26-93 : GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SERVICES - ANNUAL REPORT

The report of the Director of Community Services summarised the operation and achievements of the Grounds Maintenance Service during the year 1997/98 and set out initiatives for improving the service.

The Planning and Transportation Committee also considered this report at its meeting on 19 May 1998, and approved the recommendations.

RESOLVED

1. That the service improvements for the Grounds Maintenance Service as detailed in the report of the Director of Community Services be adopted for future years.

* Affects the Services of more than one Committee

2. That the employees in the Contracts Management Section, Community Services Department and Waveney Contract Services be congratulated on the standards of service provided.
