V26-909 : ASSOCIATION OF DRAINAGE AUTHORITIES 1998 CONFERENCE

The report of the Director of Community Services informed members that the Association of Drainage Authorities (ADA) had extended an invitation to the Council, as an Associate Member, to send representatives to attend this year's Conference and luncheon. This would be held on 4 November 1998 in London, at a cost of £63 per delegate.

ADA welcomed a mix of member and officer participation. It was therefore proposed that the Conference be attended by a member of the Community Services Committee, together with the Principal Engineer, Drainage and Coast Protection.
RESOLVED

That the Chief Executive be notified of a member of the Community Services Committee to attend the Association of Drainage Authorities Conference in London on 4 November 1998, and attendance be authorised as an approved duty.
