V26-882 : HOUSING BENEFITS OFFICE - OVERSPEND
The report of the Director of Central Services provided details of an overspend on the capital account in excess of 10%, in accordance with Financial Regulation 6.4.6. During 1997/98 £30,000 was included for alterations to the Central Services office building to provide an extended area for the administration of housing and council tax benefits. The actual cost of these works was £40,000 and after allowing for price increases of £1,800 under the contract, the overspend was £8,200 equating to 25%.
RECOMMENDED
That the additional costs incurred on the Housing Benefit Office extension be approved.
