V26-867 : RESIDENTS' PARKING - BECCLES

The report of the Director of Central Services proposed the appointment of a Residents' Parking Inspector for Beccles for a fixed term of 18 months to fit in with the experimental period of the residents' parking scheme.

The proposed restrictions under the Beccles Scheme would apply from 8am to 8pm, and in order to ensure maximum enforcement coverage the Inspector would be appointed with flexible working hours. There was also a possiblity that the existing Car Park Inspector could carry out some of the residents' parking enforcement.

RECOMMENDED

That a full time Residents' Parking Inspector for Beccles be appointed for a period of 18 months, to cover the experimental period of the new residents' parking scheme.
