Application for illuminated fascia and entrance signs.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control concerned the above sign, which had already been erected. The sign was larger than those negotiated on the other two recently created units, and than most of the others within the retail park. Its appearance was therefore out of scale and should be reduced to conform with other signs. The Director recommended refusal.

Members felt, however, that the sign did not look overly large, and as it was in a retail park and not a residential area were minded to approve the application.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application A/W713/4.
