Application for conversion of store to dwelling and for conservation area consent for demolition of part of the outbuildings to create a hardstanding.
The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control concerned a proposal to convert a small store into a residential unit which the applicant argued would enable a first time buyer, retired couple or invalid the opportunity to live in the town centre. However, the development would lack privacy, amenity and outlook, would be extremely cramped, would have inconvenient car parking arrangements and would intrude into the amenity of neighbouring flats. The Director recommended refusal.
RESOLVED
That planning permission and conservation area consent be refused to applications W15202/3 and W15202/4 respectively.
