Application for change of use from dwelling to nursing home.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control advised that no information had been submitted with the above application, but it was a fairly large property in substantial grounds. Policy H16 stated that proposals should have reasonable access to shops, community facilities and public transport, but the property was fairly isolated from Lound, the nearest village, which had only limited services. The proposal was therefore contrary to policy and there did not appear to be any factors which would justify an exception.

Members felt, however, that more information on the proposal would be required before they could consider the application, and were minded to defer it for this reason.

RESOLVED

That consideration of application W7788/1 be deferred for receipt of further information on the proposal.
