Application for two storey extension.

These two applications were considered together, as although separate properties the proposed extensions were interlinked.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined proposals for side and rear extensions to 1 and 2 Love Lane. The proposal was for a major side and rear extension to a relatively small pair of cottages. There was no adverse impact on neighbouring properties as the cottages had substantial curtilages. However, the proposed side extension to No. 1 was out of scale with the existing building and the rear extension to both cottages was considered incongruous and out of character. The Director recommended refusal.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to applications W1230/4 and W17133.
