Application for relocation of pole mounted sign.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control reminded members that advertisement consent was granted for a pole mounted sign on this site in February 1998. The applicant stated that in its current position, set well back from the A12, the sign was almost invisible to the general public. The applicant therefore proposed to relocate the sign 20 metres closer to the A12, although still positioned within the established tree belt.

The Director considered that relocation of the sign would still not be classed as intrusive against the backdrop of this commercial premises and recommended approval.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application A/W850/3.
