Application for construction of 13 dwellings.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control advised that outline planning permission for the above was granted in 1993, and renewed in July 1997 for the erection of 16 dwellings. The current application was for 13 detached properties, and the layout and plot design had been amended and improved significantly. Two neighbour objections had been received concerned with the principal of development of the site, highway danger and design.

Screening to the site would be retained, and there were Tree Preservation Orders covering eight individual trees on the site. Building Control concerns regarding access for fire appliances had been overcome, and the application was also acceptable in design terms. The recommendation of the Director was for delegated authority to approve subject to minor modifications and the imposition of appropriate conditions.

RESOLVED

That the Director of Planning and Building Control be given delegated authority to grant planning permission to application W13097/4, subject to minor modifications and the imposition of appropriate conditions.
