V26-779 : TRADING ACCOUNTS 1998/99
The Director of Waveney Contract Services circulated the Trading Account position as at the end of September 1998.
A review of the accounts had produced a revised forecast for a year end surplus of £57,000, which was a reduction of £80,000 on the previous forecast. This was attributable to the total maintenance account, where there had been a decline of work from other customers, and the Non-Statutory Vehicle Maintenance account where there had been the need to replace a fitter who had experienced six months sickness absence at a cost of £9,000, and refurbish bin lifts on the back of refuse freighters at an estimated cost of £24,000. The issue of liability for the bin lifts was being examined.
RESOLVED
