V26-747 : COMMUNITY PROJECTS GRANT APPLICATION

NORFOLK AND SUFFOLK AVIATION MUSEUM, FLIXTON

The report of the Director of Community Services outlined a request from the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum (NSAM) for a grant of £2,500 from the Minor Capital Community Projects budget to help with its bid to gain £32,350 European funding.

The grant would be match-funded and would contribute to a major project which would bring about physical developments at NSAM, create a post of full-time curator to assist with full museum registration and increase the museum open days. Museum registration would be a condition of the grant award, and the grant would only be payable if the full financial package was secured. The Council's contribution would be acknowledged on publicity and information panels.

RESOLVED

That a grant of £2,500 be made to the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum, Flixton, to be met from the Minor Capital Community Projects Scheme, subject to the full funding package being achieved.
