V26-741 : FLOOD AND COASTAL DEFENCE - THE REPORT OF THE AGRICULTURE COMMITTEE

The report of the Director of Community Services summarised the main recommendations of the House of Commons Agriculture Committee, which was set up in July 1997 to examine the policies of public bodies with responsibility for managing the coast and inland flooding.

RESOLVED

1. That receipt of the report of the House of Commons Agriculture Committee on Flood and Coastal Defence be noted.

2. That officers continue to assess the impact of the report's recommendations, and prepare a further report setting out a recommended response to the Government.
