(a) Performance Indicators

The Chairman drew members attention to the official publication of Waveney's Performance Indicators, published in the Waveney Advertiser. He felt the authority had done well, both in maintaining and in many cases increasing results. He congratulated everyone involved for their dedicated and hard work.

He then went on to refer to a number of events he had recently attended in his office of Chairman. Referring to the last year, he felt it had been an especially good year as regards tourism and events. For this year, he highlighted a band concert during Maritime Week, and the especially memorable World Hydroplane Championships on Oulton Broad. He had been pleased to see the colour around the district created by the Village of the Year competition, and the new safe haven at the harbour almost full with 70 yachts from Holland competing in the All Trend Classic. He congratulated the Council and all involved in putting on these events.
