V26-684 : NORFOLK AND WAVENEY ENTERPRISE PARTNERSHIP

The report of the Chief Executive gave an update with the progress of the Norfolk & Waveney TEC/Chamber/Business Link merger. The Government had recently announced a moratorium on all further mergers between Training and Enterprise Councils and Chambers of Commerce. As a result the partnership that was formed last year between Norfolk and Waveney TEC, Chamber and Business Link had decided to drop the `virtual CCTE' name and would in future be known as the Norfolk and Waveney Enterprise Partnership. The aims, objectives and methods of this group remained largely unchanged. The Chief Executive also advised that the Leader of the Council had been invited to be the local authority member representative on the Board of the Enterprise Partnership.

RECOMMENDED

That Councillor Bostock accept the invitation to join the Board of the Norfolk and Waveney Enterprise Partnership, and attendance be authorised as an approved duty.
