V26-677 : LOWESTOFT MANAGED WORKSPACE SCHEME

The report of the Chief Executive updated members on progress on the Lowestoft Managed Workspace Scheme, which was a joint venture with Suffolk County Council.

The County Council had successfully secured additional funding from English Partnerships and a revised bid for Objective 5B funding had been approved. The two authorities were drawing up a Joint Venture Agreement for the scheme as the County wished to get on site during September 1998.

RECOMMENDED

1. That English Partnerships be thanked for the major offer of support for the Lowestoft Managed Workspace Scheme, and Suffolk County Council congratulated as lead body in securing the overall package.

2. That the action of the Director of Central Services, in consultation with the Chairman, in accepting responsibility for any additional costs associated with the diversion of the drainage pipe as approved at minute V26-285, be confirmed.
