V26-667 : OTHER SERVICES CAPITAL PROGRAMME 1998/99

The joint report of the Director of Central Services and Director of Community Services provided a further review of the Other Services Programme for 1998/99. It identified the changes since the last report and indicated that some £223,000 of capital resources likely to be available in 1998/99 were currently not allocated to projects in that year. Projects could therefore be brought forward, or the resources could be carried forward to 1999/2000.

The report identified a need to develop a longer term programme, covering at least three forward years, so that priorities could be established and the design etc of projects be better planned.

RECOMMENDED

1. That the revised Other Services Capital Programme for 1998/99 be approved.

2. That the Capital Programme Monitoring Group prepare a longer term Capital Programme covering the period 1999 to 2002.
