V26-649 : 8 WORLINGHAM WAY, OULTON - UNAUTHORISED BUSINESS ACTIVITY

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined a complaint concerning a business activity operating from the above premises. Investigation had ascertained that the owner ran a small scale mobile domestic washing machine maintenance business for which telephone calls were received at the premises, although 99% of the work was actually carried out off site.

There were no business callers to the property and minimal deliveries. No other people were employed, and the garage was used as a store/office/workshop. There had been no other complaints.

The Director felt that no action should be taken in the above matter other than to monitor the situation to guard against any increase in activity.

RESOLVED

That no action be taken in respect of the unauthorised business activity at 8 Worlingham Way, Oulton.
