V26-56 : W10406/11 - WORLINGHAM COURT, WORLINGHAM
Application for the erection of a wire mesh fence.
The Director of Planning and Building Control reminded members that this issue had previously been considered by the Sub-Committee when it was resolved that an application be made to the Secretary of State seeking an Article 4 Direction to bring this matter within the planning authority's control. The Secretary of State had taken a similar view to the Sub- Committee and had confirmed the Direction, imposing a requirement for planning permission.
The Director recommended that the proposal be refused, as the fence would be detrimental to the open parkland setting of Worlingham Hall. The observation of the Parish Council was for approval.
RESOLVED
That planning permission be refused to application W10406/11.
