V26-515 : BEACH VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT
The report of the Director of Community Services advised that the CEFAS Beach Volleyball Club had organised an open beach volleyball tournament for the past three years, held at the South Beach, Lowestoft. The tournament had grown yearly and this year more than thirty teams were entered.
The volleyball club requested a grant towards the cost of organising the event too late for the last committee cycle. Given that the event was an excellent one for Lowestoft and District, and met the criteria set out for Revenue Grants, the Chairman was consulted, and a grant of £200 was made available from the unallocated remainder of the Leisure Revenue Grants budget.
RESOLVED
That the action of the Director of Community Services, in consultation with the Chairman, in agreeing a Leisure Revenue Grant of £200 to the CEFAS Beach Volleyball Club, be confirmed.
