V26-504 : SOUTH LOWESTOFT PARKING STUDY

The report of the Director of Community Services informed members that an update of the Lowestoft Parking Study to include the situation in the Kirkley area during summer period had been needed.

The further survey would be funded by the Lowestoft Package under the Transport Policies and Programme. After discussions with the County Council they had requested that the work be awarded to the Suffolk Highways Engineering Consultancy, which the Principal Auditor had indicated was appropriate under Standing Order 6.2(e), as the commencement date in August fell between meetings of the Committee.

RESOLVED

That the action of the Director of Community Services, in consultation with the Chairman, in appointing the Suffolk Highways Engineering Consultancy to undertake a study of parking in South Lowestoft, at a cost of approximately £18,000, excluding VAT, in accordance with Standing Order 6.2(e), be confirmed.

The meeting was concluded at 9.05 pm.
