V26-500 : DRAFT SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING GUIDANCE RELATING TO SECTION 106

AGREEMENTS

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control considered the content of Government Circular 1/97 "Planning Obligations", which set out how Local Planning Authorities should exercise their Development Control functions.

In order to ensure consistency throughout Suffolk, County and District Planning officers had prepared draft supplementary guidance for Section 106 Agreements. The intention was that this should be published by each Authority for public comment, before final adoption later in the year when amended as appropriate.

RESOLVED

1. That the Draft Supplementary Planning Guidance relating to Section 106 Agreements for Public Consultation and Comment be noted.

2. That the Draft Guidance provide where appropriate the basis for Development Control decisions, prior to the adoption of a finally agreed County-wide Guidance document.
