V26-449 : STAFFING THE ARTS AND HERITAGE SECTION

The report of the Director of Community Services proposed temporary staffing arrangements within the Arts and Heritage Section to enable a review of the Section and the Marina Theatre's establishment, following the resignation of two posts.

RECOMMENDED

1. That the post of Principal Arts and Heritage Officer be re-titled Principal Cultural Services Officer, and appointed with a revised job description.

2. That the post of Arts and Heritage Development Officer be split into two part time posts, 0.5 full-time equivalent each, re-titled Heritage Development Officer and Arts Development Officer respectively.

3. That arrangements be made from within the Marina Theatre's existing staff to appoint an Acting Manager for an initial period of six months whilst the other recommendations are effected.

4. That a complete review of the Marina Theatre's staffing structure be undertaken at the earliest opportunity, as described in the report of the Director of Community Services.
