V26-441 : W12020/4 - 1A MEADOW ROAD, OULTON

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control advised that the above application had been deferred at the last meeting of the Committee for a site meeting. Minute V25/1258 had refused an application to regularise an existing enlargement of the domestic rear garden into the communal rear courtyard which served as access, parking and turning area for the above and three other houses fronting Oulton Street. An enforcement notice was also authorised and had been served.

The applicants were now prepared to alter the fence enclosing the garden enlargement to reduce its overall projection and create a car space. A little of the lost visibility would also be regained. However, the extra car space would be too narrow, and the net benefit of the amendments would therefore be negligible.

RESOLVED

That the enforcement action concerning a garden extension at 1A Meadow Road, Oulton, be continued and that a fresh planning application on the basis of the submitted amendments be not invited.
