V26-437 : 140 THE AVENUE, LOWESTOFT

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control advised that the owner of the above was in the process of constructing a small front extension, which the neighbour considered would overshadow his property and remove his view. A front porch had already been constructed some years earlier under permitted development rights, and the current building works involved extending the porch sideways across the front of the existing sitting room.

The Director considered that the extension was of an acceptable design, having no adverse impact on the neighbouring property or the street scene, and if a planning application had been submitted a recommendation for approval would have been given.

RESOLVED

That no further action be taken with regard to the front extension at 140 The Avenue, Lowestoft.
