V26-435 : MAYFLOWERS, 1 OLD SCHOOL BUNGALOWS, THE STREET, WISSETT

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control concerned a double garage which had been erected at the front of the above residential property without planning approval.

The basic principle of the garage seemed acceptable, however the roof of the garage was of corrugated metal and did not enhance the appearance of the building or its visual impact upon the street scene. Despite repeated requests for a planning application one had not been received.

RESOLVED

That in the event of a planning application not being received in respect of a double garage at Mayflowers, 1 Old School Bungalows, The Street, Wissett, the Chief Executive be authorised to take all pursuant action to secure the removal of the garage.
