Application for conversion of barn to dwelling.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that the above barn was a significant landscape feature, and was adjacent to a listed farmhouse. The proposed conversion would include a thatched roof while leaving the original timber frame intact and was well designed. There was adequate land available to ensure no loss of residential amenity, and the Parish Council were in favour of the application. The Director recommended approval with removal of permitted development rights.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W4401/10, subject to removal of permitted development rights.
