Application for extension to hall and provision of car parking.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that the above application had been deferred at the last meeting of the Committee for a site meeting. The extension would be to the right of the existing building, with car parking in the foreground of the existing and new buildings. This was the only position which would not displace the play area or attract objections from the doctors' surgery. The car park would breach standards, and would be screened with planting. The Highway Authority felt that there could be problems in Meadow Road and suggested moving the kerbline to widen the road, and subject to that work the recommendation of the Director was for approval.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W63/5, subject to planting to screen the car park, enlargement of the car park and widening of Meadow Road.
