V26-385 : PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE NO 69
THE THREE TUNS, BUNGAY
The report of the Chief Executive reminded members that minute V25-1604 granted a renewal of the Public Entertainment Licence for the above to 30 June 1998. The Director of Housing and Environmental Services had reported a small number of noise complaints during April and May of this year, on one occasion witnessed by an officer of the Environmental Health Division. Despite the music being turned down after a reasonable request, the Three Tuns still caused problems to neighbouring residents. The Director of Housing and Environmental Services, therefore, recommended the licence be issued for another restricted period, to the end of July 1998 to allow officers to monitor the premises.
RESOLVED
1. That the Public Entertainment Licence for The Three Tuns, Bungay, be issued for a further month to expire on 31 July 1998 to allow further monitoring to take place. 2. That after this period the Chief Executive be given delegated authority to renew the licence on a month by month basis until the applicant had demonstrated the ability to manage the premises to the satisfaction of the Chief Executive, and that once this has been achieved the Chief Executive be given authority to issue a full Licence accordingly.
