V26-356 : BLUNDESTON VILLAGE HALL

The report of the Director of Community Services reminded members that Blundeston Village Hall Management Organisation had been awarded lottery funds to renovate and extend the hall to provide additional facilities including disabled access to all areas.

A condition of lottery funding was that certain key elements of contract specification, works supervision and authorisation of payments should be overseen by qualified professionals. The organisation had approached the Council for assistance and it was anticipated that approximately 80 hours of officer time would be required at a total cost of £2,400 to be met from current budgets.

RESOLVED

That the Director of Community Services be authorised to provide professional building services in support of the Blundeston Village Hall project over the period to 31 March 1999, at a total cost of £2,400 to be met from existing budgets.
