V26-352 : BEST VALUE FOR COAST PROTECTION
The report of the Director of Community Services advised that a bid to the Department of Transport, Environment and Regions (DETR) entitled Best Value Pilot Scheme for Coast Protection Services had not been selected for inclusion in their programme. However, the project had been noted with interest, and the Director was committed to pursuing the initiatives identified within the bid document.
The Director had arranged a meeting with other interested coastal authorities and it was intended that initiatives on identifying Best Practice Performance Indicators and other comparitors could be pursued.
RESOLVED
That the initiatives taken by Director of Community Services in developing Best Value practices for the Coast Protection Service be supported.
