V26-351 : LOWESTOFT SCORES - IMPROVEMENTS TO LIGHTING, TOURIST TRAIL AND PUBLI

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control and Director of Community Services detailed a proposal to bid for 5b funds to extend the proposed Scores Improvement Works. These would include waymarkers, visitor information boards and an opportunity for public art.

The Planning and Transportation Committee also considered this report at its meeting on 30 June 1998, and approved the recommendations.

RESOLVED

1. That submission of a 5b bid for improvements to the Lowestoft Scores using existing budgets as described in the report of the Director of Planning and Building Control and Director of Community Services be approved, subject to a detailed report being brought back to Committee before any work is commenced.

2. That a contribution of £5,000 be included in the 1999/2000 Capital Programme towards footway lighting provision in the Lowestoft Scores.
