V26-350 : TOURISM STRATEGY PROJECT PLAN

The report of the Director of Community Services detailed the process by which the Tourism Strategy would be developed. The nature of the Council's involvement with the tourism industry meant that external stakeholders would be consulted during the compilation of the strategy.

Councillors were concerned that they had little time scheduled for input to the Plan. A paper would be taken to the Chairman's Policy Group suggesting that Councillors be written to on the subject in August, with the view to setting up a Working Party to meet with the officers in September.

RESOLVED

That the plan for the production of the Tourism Strategy as outlined in the report of the Director of Community Services be approved.
