V26-334 : THE LOWESTOFT PACKAGE

The report of the Director of Community Services summarised the Lowestoft Package sections of the Transport Policies and Planning (TPP) bid document for 1999/2000, as edited by the County Council and presented to the members of their Transport Committee on 18 June 1998.

The Director reported that works programmed for the current year included parking studies, and commencement of preparatory work on the Relief Road had been agreed. Concerning Kirkley Regeneration, improving links to the beach and providing safe routes to school had also been discussed.

RESOLVED

1. That the content of the Lowestoft Package section within the Suffolk County TPP bid be noted.

2. That the comments prepared by the Leader of the Council and Chairman and Vice Chairman as conveyed to the County Council and reported to Committee be endorsed.
