V26-283 : EASTERN REGION LOCAL GOVERNMENT CONFERENCE
The report of the Chief Executive reminded members that at minute V25-1676 the Policy and Resources Committee received a report which provided an update on the formation of the above Conference including the adoption of the draft constitution which had been endorsed by members.
In particular, the constitution provided for the determination of membership subscription on the basis of a scheme prepared by the Executive Committee and approved by the Conference. The estimated costs had produced a subscription level of £700 per vote. Waveney was allocated one vote as a district authority.
RECOMMENDED
That the Council subscribe to the Eastern Region Local Government Conference at an annual cost of £700, to be met from within existing budgets.
