V26-278 : REVENUE COLLECTION PROGRESS

The report of the Director of Central Services showed the progress to 31 March 1998 with collecting the 1997/98 Council Tax and Non Domestic Rates (NDR) and former Community Charge.

The amount of Council Tax collected was 97.4% achieving the locally set target of 97%. The amount of NDR collected was more disappointing at 96.4% compared to the target of 97%. Community Charge was now well below the bad debt provision level, its primary target.

RESOLVED

That the progress report on Revenue Collection be received.
