V26-274 : TREASURY MANAGEMENT - ANNUAL REPORT 1997/98

The report of the Director of Central Services provided an Annual Report on the Council's Treasury Management Operations in accordance with its Policy Statement. The Annual Report for 1997/98 summarised the borrowing, investment and leasing transactions during the year and detailed the net borrowing costs in that year, in comparison with the approved budget.

In addition, the report provided the routine details of recent borrowing and investments transactions as required by Financial Regulations 2.3.

RECOMMENDED

1. That the Annual Report on the Council's Treasury Management Operations for 1997/98 be approved.

2. That the monitoring report on Treasury Management Operations for the period February 1998 to April 1998 be received.
